WHY MOON MISSIONS?
“Giant impact hypothesis” suggests that when a large object smashed into the early earth, it gave rise to so many earth-related particles in space. When the number of these particles joined together, they gave rise to the celestial body named moon. Moon, unlike earth, consists of no atmosphere, lower gravity, no tectonic forces to deploy the surface and particles and other known or unknown conditions about moon gave rise to the conclusion that the moon has the particles of early earth preserved. Hence, Moon is also called to be preserved photocopy of earth. This gives rise to the curiosity if we may come to know about early earth through the evidence and study of the moon. Moon has an abundance of helium 3. Helium 3 does not reach earth due to its magnetic field, it repels away to the moon. It is said that the moon has approx 1.1 million tons of helium 3 dumped on the moon's surface in vast quantities by solar winds. On this china says mining helium from the moon ...
